The Italian-inspired restaurant now open in the centre of Tunbridge Wells.
Our new neighbours Bocca Social opened their doors right below us earlier in August, here in Tunbridge Wells. The new restaurant has been attracting the curious crowd of Tunbridge Wells ever since. The building space which has not been in use since Carluccio’s closed its doors, has been transformed into a glossy Italian-inspired restaurant. It has a seasonal menu accompanied by a huge selection of expertly crafted cocktails.
The inspiration behind its name comes from the word ‘Bocca’ which in Italian means mouth. Therefore the idea for the restaurant is to be the centre of socialising just like we laugh, gossip, eat and drink with our mouths.
This new joint in town makes for a very convenient business lunch spot for us and surrounding offices. The attractive Set Menu runs from Monday to Saturday, 12:30 pm until 5 pm which only gives you another excuse to visit during the working week. Two courses for just £21 and three courses for £27.
Bocca Social has one other restaurant and cocktail bar, which is in Beckenham, Kent. It says its menu is a combination of traditional Italian cooking and its own style. It said it pairs “carefully sourced wines” with cocktails and a large spirits list.
It said its brand “is driven by our great food, welcoming staff and a relaxed ambience”. Some of their signature dishes currently on the menu include grilled octopus, seafood risotto, classic lasagna and wild mushroom pappardelle to name a few. Bocca Social also offers a hearty pizza menu for pizza lovers!
Visiting Bocca Social for dinner in the evening is a real experience. The space itself is very elegant, making it the ideal destination for a special occasion meal too. The staff are very welcoming and attentive.
General manager Luis Alves makes you feel like you’re a part of the Bocca family and he has a great sense of humour.
The absolute highlight of the meal is the Tiramisu which is made by the chef Fabio Moschini’s recipe!
